- Daughter of Kristen Jensen and Anke Eleina Jorgenson, of Denmark. Wife of E. Victor Erickson of Alto and Caledonia, MI.
Annie Jensen came to America with a large group of nurses or nurses-in-training, from the Seventh Day Adventist Church, (and nursing school) of Denmark.
She trained and worked in Battle Creek, Michigan and during a gathering of Scandinavian young people, she met Victor Erickson. They were married the 19th of December, 1925, in Battle Creek, MI.
Victor was a Swedish Lutheran, so worshipped on Sundays. Annie was Seventh-Day Adventist, so worshipped on Saturday. For them, it seemed to work out just fine. They agreed that any children would be brought up Lutheran.
Because they lived so far from the nearest Swedish Lutheran Church, the family changed to a German Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. The St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Caledonia, Michigan became the family's place of worship.
As children joined the family, Annie occasionally attended with them, at St. Pauls, but she never forgot her Seventh-Day Adventist roots or the local Seventh-Day church where she continued to worship on Saturdays.
